Getting ready to move and work in Canada can be quite an overwhelming process and I honestly don’t think that it would have happened as quickly or as smoothly if it wasn’t for Phil Jost. I moved over from the UK on my own in 2008, but Phil was there for me every step of the way. From the very first telephone conversation he was able to assess my credentials and provide me with accurate information with regards to licensing and where I could practice as a family physician in Canada. Phil has extensive experience in working with physicians and keeps himself informed on any new developments that could affect his clients. He maintains a strong working relationship with colleagues in the Department of Health and at the College of Physicians and Surgeons and was also able to liase with them on my behalf. The immigration process is tedious but he made regular phone calls to me to see how it was going and was always available when I needed advice. He is incredibly efficient in his work, has a good understanding of the indvidual’s needs, is encouraging and extremely patient.
After arriving in Canada I was introduced to his family who welcomed me and became my first friends here. He was able to advise me on most things from buying a car to where to buy the best snow gear. After living in Canada for over two years he still checks up on me and makes himself available and approachable. He has and continues to remain genuinely interested in me as well as my family’s welfare. I am very grateful to him for his huge efforts, he truly goes above and beyond, and would recommend him wholeheartedly without any reservation.
