Pharmacy Technician

As a member of the pharmacy team, you can expect to:

  • Record essential medical details and prescription information

  • Prepare prescriptions for Pharmacist verification

  • Count and organize medications

  • Conduct inventory checks with the Pharmacist

  • Deliver patient care and customer service

  • Properly bill for all medications

  • Provide patients with necessary medication administration tools (e.g., syringes, droppers)

Qualifications:  

Candidates must have or be eligible to apply to the Nova Scotia College of Pharmacists (NSCP) for license. https://www.nspharmacists.ca/?page=pharmacytechnician

 

You may be eligible for licensing or a licensing path with the NSCP if you are:

  • Licensed in another Canadian jurisdiction as a Pharmacy Technician

  • A graduate of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program

  • A graduate of an Approved Pharmacy Technician Bridging Program

  • An international Pharmacy Technician graduate with a license in Great Britain, is eligible for an independent license with the NSCP.

In 2019, the Municipality of Clare was chosen among 13 other Francophone minority communities across Canada as a welcoming Francophone community. Communauté francophone accueillante de Clare is a partnership between the Municipality of Clare and La Société acadienne de Clare. The $697,887 project over three years aims to contribute to making the community of Clare more welcoming for all and to ensure that all members of the community have a positive attitude towards new immigrants, including those who wish to settle in French.

The Festival Acadien de Clare (the oldest Acadian festival in the world!) has always been a celebration of Acadian culture and heritage. Thousands of people from all over the world gather in Saint Mary’s Bay every year for a week filled with activities for all ages, like the lumberjack competition, the parade, the bazaar and so much more!
