Our client, located in Tacoma, Washington, is seeking an OBGYN who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in women's health to join their collaborative and forward-thinking team. The physician will start by working 3-4 days per week, with the option to move to full-time within the next year. The current owner plans to retire in 1-2 years, offering the potential for the right candidate to take over the practice and continue serving a loyal patient base. Our client is a leading women's healthcare provider committed to offering comprehensive and compassionate care to women across all stages of life. They are a premier obstetrics and gynecology practice with a midwifery care component. They are a thriving OB/GYN practice with an excellent reputation. The practice handles 500 deliveries per year, with a strong patient base in a very busy environment. The office features 2,700 square feet of space, including seven exam rooms and one procedure room. The clinic serves a catchment of 1.5 million people, and is one of only two independent practices offering services in this rapidly growing region.

The clinic specializes in obstetrics and gynecology, providing services that range from routine check-ups and prenatal care to advanced gynecological surgeries and menopause management. Physicians can expect a patient volume of 16-18 patients per clinic day. They have a balanced practice with approximately 60% of the work focused on obstetrics and 40% on gynecology. This allows them to concentrate on providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers while also offering specialized gynecological services.
The clinic offers the full scope of routine gynecology services, ranging from contraception management to comprehensive well-woman exams. The practice also is in a unique niche to serve as back-up for licensed midwives. When a midwife’s patient becomes high-risk, they are referred to the clinic.
They also offer treatment for issues like endometriosis, fibroid care, pelvic pain, menopause symptoms, and more. Women who are preparing for pregnancy can rely on them for fertility support as well as prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum care. They specialize in high-risk pregnancies and complex needs, including breech pregnancy, twin vaginal delivery, and vaginal birth after Cesarean. In addition to routine gynecological screenings, the team boasts state-of-the-art technology and minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery, to help provide precise results and maximum patient comfort
Scheduling:
Flexible work schedule: The clinic operates 9am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Full time physicians are required to work 3-4 clinic days per week, allowing for a customizable schedule that fits their personal and professional needs.
On Call: 8 days (24 hours ) per month. Weekend call responsibilities are required on every other weekend.

Requirements and Education:

Board-certified/Board eligible OB/GYN. Open to candidates requiring supervision.

Physicians with training from Canada are eligible for license in the state of Washington.
