CanAm Physician Recruiting is seeking experienced Family Physicians (CCFP required) for a variety of locum placements in northern Canada. These opportunities offer meaningful clinical work in diverse, community-focused settings—ranging from health centres to regional facilities—supported by collaborative teams and visiting specialists.

Practice Overview:

Single-physician environments with support from local and visiting care teams

Mix of primary care, emergency coverage, inpatient services, and on-call duties

Access to allied health, mental health, public health, and rehabilitation services

Opportunities to provide community outreach via in-person travel or telehealth
Practice Models & Compensation:
🩺 Model A – Mixed Practice (Clinic, ER, On-Call)

6-day locum shift
-
Daily rate: $2,013
-
On-call stipend: $215 (weekday) | $323 (weekend/stat)
🩺 Model B – Comprehensive Rural Care
-
6-day shift covering family medicine, emergency, and hospitalist care
-
Daily rate: $2,022
-
On-call stipend: $215 (weekday) | $323 (weekend/stat)
🩺 Model C – Acute Care Focus (No On-Call)

4–5 day shifts of 12-hour days
-
Daily rate: $2,885
-
No on-call or callbacks
🩺 Model D – Community-Based Practice with Travel

Weekday clinic hours with 1:2 on-call (including weekends)
-
Daily rate: $1,928
-
On-call stipend: $215 (weekday) | $323 (weekend/stat)

After-hours callback: $241/hour beyond 8 hours

May involve travel to surrounding communities
