CanAm has played an important role in supporting Horizon Health Network’s physician recruitment across all four major regions of New Brunswick: Moncton, Miramichi, Saint John, and Fredericton. Over the course of the partnership, CanAm successfully sourced and submitted more than 200 qualified license eligible physicians and specialists, including a significant number of internationally trained medical graduates (IMGs). This work has involved meeting diverse staffing needs across urban and rural areas, covering multiple specialties to enhance healthcare delivery throughout the network.

CanAm provided comprehensive, full-cycle recruitment services tailored to Horizon’s requirements, including candidate sourcing, screening, licensing facilitation, structured interviews, and offer negotiation support. The recruitment process was managed with attention to detail and respect for regulatory standards, ensuring candidates met the necessary qualifications. While timelines varied with candidate backgrounds and licensing complexities, CanAm maintained steady progress and clear communication throughout.

Client Satisfaction & Results

Horizon Health Network found CanAm’s recruitment support to be reliable and effective in helping fill a wide range of physician positions, with successful placement of over 21 physicians over the last few years. The volume of qualified candidates supplied, including IMGs, contributed positively to addressing workforce gaps across the network. Communication was generally timely and transparent, assisting Horizon in coordinating recruitment decisions. While some recruitment challenges remain, particularly in rural and specialized areas, CanAm’s efforts have been a valuable component of Horizon’s talent acquisition strategy.
