Sports Medicine Physicians
Our Client, Canada’s largest provider of chronic pain and musculoskeletal care, is seeking Sports Medicine Physicians to join their CPSO-approved, state-of-the-art interdisciplinary clinic network across Ontario.
Demand is exceptionally high, with long patient waitlists. Physicians will practice in modern clinical environments with full administrative and clinical support, allowing you to focus on patient care while maintaining autonomy over your practice style.
The Client operates a national network of 13 multidisciplinary clinics, offering significant stability, growth opportunities, and access to advanced resources.
Role Highlights
Scope of Practice – Sports Medicine Focus
Provide comprehensive non-surgical musculoskeletal and sports medicine care, including:
- Assessment and management of acute and chronic MSK conditions
- Sports-related injuries, occupational injuries, and overuse conditions
- Image-guided and non–image-guided injections, including:
- Ultrasound-guided joint, tendon, bursa, and soft tissue injections
- Corticosteroid, PRP, viscosupplementation
- Concussion management and return-to-play planning
- Chronic pain and functional rehabilitation support
- Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) available for interested physicians
High patient volumes available, with flexibility to focus on:
- Consult-based clinics
- Procedural work
- Or a blended practice model
Collaborative Environment
- Work within a fully interdisciplinary team, including:
- IntVerdanaerventional pain physicians
- Physiatrists
- Anesthesiologists
- Nurses
- MRTs/CLXTs
- Interventional Radiologists
- Allied Health Services
- Strong referral pipelines and peer collaboration across select clinic locations
Schedule & Autonomy
- Flexible scheduling – Typical clinic hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Optional evenings and weekends
- Dedicated administrative support:
- Clinic management
- Intake and referral coordination
- Billing and administrative services
- Skilled Nurses, MOAs and Clinical Assistants
- Marketing support to maintain referrals and optimize physician practices,
Leadership opportunities and involvement in future program development and innovation are available for interested physicians.
Physicians may also propose new clinic locations in underserved Ontario communities.
Qualifications
- MD with Sports Medicine training (CFPC SEM, Dip Sport Med, or equivalent)
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), including:
- Canadian-trained physicians
- US Board Certified physicians (eligible for independent CPSO licensure)
- Physicians eligible via:
- Royal College Approved Jurisdiction
- Royal College PER route (with successful completion of the written RC exam and MCCQE1)
- Family Physicians with an established Sports Medicine or MSK-focused scope are encouraged to apply
Compensation / Overhead
- Fee-for-Service split
