Emergency Medicine Physician

Our client in Southern Ontario is actively seeking a Full-Time Emergency Medicine Physician to join a busy and well-supported Emergency Department serving a large regional population. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a collaborative hospital environment with strong specialist support, advanced diagnostic resources, and access to nearby tertiary care services.

Compensation & Schedule
Physicians are compensated through the Ontario Ministry of Health Alternative Funding Agreement (AFA) model, offering:
- Competitive compensation
- Incentives based on shift volume and patient volumes
- Approximately 8–10 shifts per month (8-hour shifts)
- Second on-call emergency coverage
Qualifications
Eligible candidates must meet one of the following training pathways:
- CCFP-EM
- CCFP with SEME (Supplemental Emergency Medicine Experience)
- CCFP with previous Emergency Department experience
- FRCPC in Emergency Medicine
- American Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine (with relevant Emergency Department experience)
Required certifications:
- ACLS
- PALS
- ATLS
Licensure:
- Candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
