Part time and Full Time Opportunities

Our client is seeking full-time and part-time Cardiologists to join their well-established and growing regional cardiology practice in Peterborough, Ontario. This rewarding opportunity offers a diverse mix of outpatient consultative cardiology and inpatient hospital-based care, providing physicians with an excellent balance of clinical variety, continuity of care, and work-life balance.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with cardiovascular disease while performing a wide range of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures. Physicians also participate in the inpatient cardiology service at the regional hospital, managing cardiac inpatients, providing inpatient consultations, and participating in a shared call schedule of approximately 1 in 8.
This position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced and collaborative team of Cardiologists, nurse practitioners, technologists, and administrative professionals in a modern, physician-focused practice. THE PRACTICE:
Our client is a well-established regional cardiology practice dedicated to delivering timely, comprehensive, and high-quality cardiovascular care to patients throughout Peterborough and the surrounding communities. The practice is professionally managed by an experienced operations and administrative team, allowing physicians to focus on providing exceptional patient care.
The practice features accredited echocardiography and nuclear cardiology laboratories and offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic services, including:

Stress Echocardiography

Nuclear Cardiology

Exercise Stress Testing

Holter Monitoring

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)
As part of the role, physicians also provide inpatient cardiology services at The Regional Health Centre, a Regional Cardiac Centre of Excellence. The hospital service is supported by experienced nurse practitioners and a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless continuity of care from hospitalization through outpatient follow-up.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must possess:

Independent or Provisional Practice Certificate of Registration from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)

Royal College Certification in Cardiology (or equivalent)

Membership in good standing with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Internationally trained candidates who pass the subspecialty exam being launched by the CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario) will be considered

US-trained specialists are exempt from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons eligibility requirements (US Board Certified Physicians are eligible for an independent license in Ontario)
