Dermatologist – Northern Ontario
Our client, Timmins And District Hospital, a forward-thinking, multi-disciplinary referral and teaching hospital in Northern Ontario, is seeking a Dermatologist to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a healthcare institution that is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Physicians will work within a collaborative environment, guided by trauma-informed and culturally safe practices, while helping to fulfill the hospital’s mission: Providing Exemplary Care to Northerners.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and expanding dermatology services for a regional catchment area of approximately 110,000 people, addressing both outpatient and inpatient dermatologic needs.
In addition to clinical work, there are opportunities to teach and mentor the next generation of medical professionals through a partnership with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.

Compensation and Benefits
- Fee-for-service / Northern Specialist APP
Incentives
- Incentive package up to $60,000 over four years
- Eligibility for a repayable interest-free loan up to $150,000
- Eligibility for the Ministry of Health Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (N3R)
- Includes an $84,718 incentive over a 4-year period for Canadian citizens and permanent residents who establish a full-time practice
Qualifications
- Medical Degree with specialist training in Dermatology
- Eligible for independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Dermatology
- Holding a full license in another Canadian province
- US Board-Certified Dermatologists are eligible for an independent license in Ontario
- Have (or be eligible to obtain) Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) coverage
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and high standards of care
- Interest in program development and service expansion for a regional population
