The range of comprehensive on-site services include diagnostic imaging (x-ray, diagnostic ultrasound, and fluoroscopically-guided pain management), allied health (physical therapy, massage therapy, psychology), and medical and surgical specialists (Orthopedic Surgery, Physiatry, Sports Medicine, Rheumatology, Plastic Surgery, Neurology, and Anesthesiology). There is ample support staff available. Be part of a multi-disciplinary team that truly values one-stop-shop comprehensive care for their patients.

About the Position

This is an opportunity to join a team to provide non-surgical fracture management and care to patients on a part time or full time basis.  The patients are typically referred from the Orthopedic Consultation Line wherein they have been reviewed by an Orthopedic Surgeon and deemed to require non-operative care which we provide.  We have an on-site cast clinic with an orthopedic technician, casting supplies, bracing supplies, and x-ray.  The on-site Rheumatologist provides osteoporosis management as needed.

Remuneration

Fee for service with earning potential of $2500-$5000 per day, depending on the physician’s specialty.

Qualifications

  • Speciality training in a relevant speciality. i.e. Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Physiatry, Emergency Medicine, etc. General family physicians with a strong interest in fracture management will also be considered.

  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) or College of Family Practice of Canada (CCFP) certified

  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Exam (MCCQE) Part 1

  • Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practice medicine in the province of Alberta

  • Experience or interest in practicing Fracture Management
