C-Health, a leading healthcare provider in Alberta, is seeking an Internal Medicine Specialist to join their multidisciplinary team including a Cardiologist, Internists, Emergency Medicine physicians, Geriatricians, Pulmonologist and Endocrinologists. The Internal Medicine Specialists
play a key role across multiple service lines within the organization, including Cardiology, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine. This position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population with locations
in Calgary, Edmonton, Airdrie and Sherwood Park, Alberta. We will facilitate acute care privileges and we offer full administrative support, allowing you to focus on patient care without the burden of administrative tasks.

Job Duties:
- Perform comprehensive assessments, screening and diagnose patients within the full scope of practice as defined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
- Adhere to and promote evidence-based practices, standards of best-practice and clinical safety standards.
- Carry out tests and interpret test results.
- Develop, oversee and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medication, health education and lifestyle counseling.
- Refer patients to other clinicians for further consultation and testing as required.
- Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating and liaising closely with colleagues.
- Attend clinical management meetings.
- Perform other duties assigned that are reasonable with the scope of practice.
Employment Requirements
Education:
- MD with training in Internal Medicine.
- Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) and Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Exam (MCCQE) Part 1, or a complete set of United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE), is preferred
- Physicians with training from an RCPSC Approved Jurisdiction will be considered.
Licensing:
- Licensing, or eligibility for licensing, by the provincial or territorial licensing authority (College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta) is required.
Experience:
- No Attending Physician experience is necessary, though candidates with experience are preferred.
Language:
- English language ability.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Efficient interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with health care staff, patients and their families.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.

Wage:
Fee-for-service split with earning potential of approximately $400,000 to $500,000 per year.
