Earning Potential: $377,000 – $425,000
Our client is currently seeking a Permanent, full time Obstetricians/Gynecologists to join their team of specialists. The physician will also be required to provide on-call coverage at the county hospital.
The physician will share in the responsibility for the care of approximately one-third of the women in the province of Prince Edward Island, which has a population of more than 150,000 residents. Obstetricians/Gynecologists in the province provide prenatal care and deliveries. The physician will have privileges in the community hospital, a 110-bed regional hospital with a six-bed ICU that provides specialty services in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, ENT and Psychiatry.
Job Duties:

Provide referral services for family physicians and nurse practitioners in the province.

Participation in on-call services with the group of Obstetricians/Gynecologists.
Hours of Work:
-
Monday-Friday; 8am – 4pm; 37.5 hours/week

Participation is required for after hours on-call services (shared call 1:4)
REMUNERATION: Physicians have the option of choosing salary or fee-for-service payment modality.
INCENTIVES:

Return-in-Service Grant and Moving Expense Allowance are available.

Qualified and licensable candidates may be eligible for a return in service grant of $100,000 with a 3 year (5,850 hour) commitment.

Clinical teaching with the PEI Residency Training Program; faculty appointment at Dalhousie University may be available

Electronic patient record system (hospital based) with access to lab and x-ray reports from the office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification or Holds licensing in another Canadian province.

Eligibility for independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island.

American Board Certified Physicians are eligible for an independent license to practice with the CPSPEI.

All Royal College Approved jurisdictions are eligible for Full license with MCCQE1 or equivalent.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
