The Opportunity

Our Client, Canada’s largest provider of chronic pain management, is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team of pain specialists, physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. This role offers the opportunity to provide consultative orthopedic care and perform interventional pain procedures in a modern outpatient setting focused on improving function and quality of life for patients living with chronic pain.

 

Role Highlights

 

  • Assess and diagnose musculoskeletal, joint, and spine-related conditions.

  • Provide treatment recommendations and surgical triage as appropriate.

  • Perform approved interventional pain procedures, including:

    • Facet joint injections

    • Medial branch blocks

    • Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)

    • Sacroiliac joint injections

    • Epidural steroid injections

    • Trigger point injections

    • Peripheral nerve blocks

    • Ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections

  • Other approved procedures within the physician's scope of practice and privileges.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

  • Maintain high standards of documentation, patient care, and regulatory compliance.

 

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree and post graduate training and certification in Orthopedics and fellowship training in Pain 

  • Physicians with training and certification from a Royal College Approved Jurisdiction (Australia, United Kingdom, United States, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong & Switzerland) may be eligible for an independent license without further examinations or supervision. 

  • Independent CPSO license and CMPA coverage.

  • Experience with musculoskeletal and spine care.

  • Fluoroscopy- and/or ultrasound-guided injection experience preferred.

  • Interest in chronic pain management and interdisciplinary care.
