Pediatrician – Community Outpatient Based

Overview
Our client is expanding its healthcare team and actively recruiting a Pediatrician to support a growing need in their community. They offer a unique opportunity to establish an outpatient-based pediatric practice with collaboration potential within their family medicine community.
They deliver a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services to a mixed urban and rural population of approximately 100,000 residents.
This is a community-based pediatric role with no inpatient pediatrics responsibilities. The practice includes outpatient pediatrics clinics and may also include participation in the well baby and newborn resuscitation call schedule. There are collaboration opportunities to work closely with community-based family medicine practices and our client will provide clinic space with little to no overhead cost, allowing you to focus on patient care!
Location:
The 105-bed full service community hospital provides an array of diagnostic laboratory services including Nuclear Medicine, CT and MRI. Full specialist support includes; a Hospitalist Program, Anaesthesia, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ob/Gyn, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, Physiatry and Urology.
Our client is a referral hospital supporting smaller hospitals in the area. They are a designated District Stroke Center and they have a 9 bed ICU that is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of intensivists, nurses, physicians, and respiratory therapists; as well as access to social workers, speech, occupational and physiotherapists. They have a well established referral protocol with local tertiary care centers
Position Requirements:

Fully independent registration (or eligible for) with College of Physicians and
Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) .

Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada – FRCPC.

US Board Certified Physicians are eligible for independent license in Ontario.

Experience working with teams and possessing strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
