POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Our client in the Moncton, New Brunswick area is actively seeking a full-time seeking a passionate and dedicated Developmental Pediatrician to join their dynamic team in New Brunswick. As a Developmental Pediatrician, you will play a crucial role in providing expert medical care and guidance to children with developmental and behavioral challenges. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and their families.

JOB DUTIES:

These responsibilities are basic. Additional duties may be assigned from time to time as may be necessary to the operation:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of pediatric patients with developmental and behavioral concerns.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, therapists, and educators, to create individualized treatment plans.
Provide ongoing medical management and follow-up care to patients.
Educate and support families in understanding and managing their child’s developmental issues.
Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of developmental pediatrics.
Participate in research and educational activities as applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A medical degree is required.
Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or American Board Certification in Pediatrics with subspecialty in Developmental Pediatrics; In circumstances where no qualified Canadian trained applicants are available, equivalent certification may be considered as long as they qualify for licensure in the Province of New Brunswick.
Candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick.
Proficiency in English is required. Bilingual skills would be considered an asset.
In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills.
Good attendance and work record.
Physically able to perform assigned duties.
