I was impressed by the time and effort John Philpott of CanAm Physician Recruiting generously spent on giving the information and describing my options for practicing in Canada. After attaining their assessment, I am very optimistic that I have come to the right place in order to get integrated to the medical system in Canada. Thank you.
Very impressed with the service at CanAm Physician Recruiting. I was in a very difficult job situation (and visa situation) and John Philpott helped me to get a job in a few days in Nova Scotia. I had million other questions besides the job (visa, insurance, who to call..) and John was always available, and give me the info in a timely manner (within hours!). I never experienced similar exceptional service before with any of the job recruiter agencies in the US. I would rate him as AAA+++
Our Department recently underwent a major transition with the opening of a new ED structure, a new Medical School, implementation of a new academic funding plan, and significant augmentation of clinical staff. We have been successful in recruiting over a dozen new emergency physicians, several of whom were direct referrals from Mr. Jost and CanAm. CanAm services have been exemplary through an approach that involves extensive research, careful matching of clients and physicians, an intimate knowledge of the health care industry both locally and internationally, and a work ethic that simply does not quit. I have found Mr. Jost to be forthright, professional, and reliable, an excellent communicator, and willing to adapt to our needs and requests. Our new physicians hired through his services have fit in extremely well on the medical, interpersonal and family life fronts, and are among the best in the field. I certainly would recommend the services of CanAm Physician Recruiting Inc., and Mr. Phil Jost without reservation.
Dear Phil I always follow with enthusiasm your news letter, thank you for giving us the feel of Canada recruitment and keep them coming please. Keep well, many regards, Dr. Julio C Gonzalez
Received by CanAm’s Immigration Counsel, Ravi Jain, LL.B., LL.M., Partner, Green & Spiegel, Barristers and Solicitors, “Thank you so much for your help. That’s the best $1500 I’ve spent in a while. You’ve helped make me and my family very happy. Happy Holidays”.
CanAm Recruiting has been great to work with from day one! I can alway rely on a quick response regarding my recruitment needs. We have recruited three full-time permanent physicians in a 6 month time period from CanAm, as well as one locum physician, all in different specialties. These physicians were very well qualified and have worked out nicely. Unlike other agencies, CanAm seems to really understand the recruitment process and builds a relationship with both the physician and the health authority. Such a relationship does not often exist in other agencies.
I am a Neurologist who has recently relocated from West Virginia (USA) to Toronto Canada. I want to especially thank my recruiter Hedi Cameron, CanAm Physician Recruiting, who helped me through this move. Getting credentialed through CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario) was a long process requiring a lot of patience. Hedi was very helpful and informative during this period. Hedi was a delight to work with. She was professional, responsive and exhibited a great deal of attention to detail. She responded to my calls promptly. She not only helped me in getting licensed, but also went the extra mile to help me with my immigration paper work, fiinding a residence and other related matters. I want to express my deep appreciation and admiration for her highly efficient, professional, and personable help. I would strongly recommend Hedi of CanAm as a physician recruiter for anybody who is planning to move to Canada. Samina Kazmi, MD
I have to say that it was worth dealing with all the paperwork to get the Sask License. The last 7 weeks was fantastic. I have sooooo many great pictures that it is difficult to make a photo album without making it boringly long. I am on call now, so I am not travelling anywhere this weekend, but I drove more than 7000 km in the area already. The Rockies are amazing, the local flora and fauna is wonderful, fishing is great. Two days ago I caught a pike weighing 6 pound seven ounces in addition to a 2 pound walleye, a couple weeks earlier another walleye and a few perches, so I did not have any difficulty supplying my kitchen with fish. The job was pleasant, with the exception of one bad weekend I never felt tired. I would not mind coming back here if they happen to need locum services in the future. I plan on staying in Cyprus till about mid December, but plans do change.
I am a Family Physician from the UK and got interested in relocating to Ontario. Not to anybody’s surprise, the process of getting licensed by CPSO was so very complicated – requiring endless paperwork, finding a supervisor and satisfying many criteria. While I was hunting for jobs in Ontario, one morning, my wife accidentally came across Hedi Cameron’s ( of CamAm Physician Recruiting) details and I emailed her with my queries. She replied within minutes and that was the start and she kept her promptness, professionalism and courtesy all the way till I finally got the license. It was a particularly difficult journey for me as I required a clinical supervisor for a certain period and this really posed a stumbling block to the progress. Hedi was very prompt and efficient, she was on the phone with the college numerous times to clarify matters, also chasing behind the supervisors to keep the paperwork ready within target time. What impressed me particularly was that Hedi genuinely looked after my welfare as much as she cared for the employer all along the difficult and protracted journey. Never was there a time that she tried to cut corners just for the sake of finding me a place. We had to move between many employers in order to satisfy the College regarding the arrangements for my supervision at work. Hedi made herself available in the weekends and at unsocial hours as I had a tight schedule. She was very friendly, honest and I find her extremely knowledgeable in her field. She is outspoken, genuine and does not give false hopes. I was extremely lucky to have met Hedi Cameron and I am absolutely certain that without her in the scene, I would never have obtained my license from CPSO. I find Hedi Cameron one of the most efficient professionals that I have ever met and I would strongly recommend Hedi Cameron of CanAm Physician Recruiting to any physician who is considering relocating to Canada.
During the one year which I acted as interim CoS at GASHA I had the great advantage of having Mr. Philpott (CanAm Recruiting) work with me in recruiting several physicians. He was quick to follow up on any potential candidates all of whom were well screened and so were of good calibre but, more importantly, steered them through the difficulties in dealing with Canadian immigration, manpower requirements and licensure. He made my job infinitely easier and it was a pleasure, at all times, to work with him. I can unreservedly recommend him.
Mr. Philpott was referred by a family member whom he helped over 15 years ago land a great hospitalist job and help transition from USA to Canada. He is well-mannered, prompt and VERY knowledgeable. He took the time to guide me through the process and the requirements I need in order to practice in Canada.
